Katy Perry, singer of the hit songs “I Kissed a Girl” used to be a Christian singer.

In 2001, she came out with a song that was a Christian track called “Faith Won’t Fail,” sung by a 16-year-old girl named Katy Hudson. Hudson changed her name later to Perry (too easily confused with Kate Hudson?) To top it off Her parents are both conservative preachers.

I’m really happy Katy got out of the Christian music genre. Where would we be without the drunk sorority song “I Kissed a Girl,”

I saw her on the Today show and one of the guys on there asked “what do you think your message is sending to other girls?” she says… “well I am speaking from the heart, and its sad that music has lost that”…

ok.. I will let you decide what you think about this..

I just could not believe that there were 11 year olds singing to this song.. people say “its just a song!” When will “its just….” ever stop? “its just sex”, “its just one time” I think “its just” is a dangerous beginning… My issue is not that Katy Perry is so much singing this song as much as it is everyone singing a long to it..

I am super stoked about seeing Rod Stewart tonight with my mom and sisters!.. I grew up listening to Rod Stewart because my mom loves him.. (but loves dad more) We have row K and VIP parking and VIP passes to some special Cadillac room.. we aren’t sure exactly what that is but how much fun!

I don’t care for it. This is what erks me… it makes a LOUD noise when you get mail which can be fun when you are wanting to get an email.. and when you don’t have mail it makes a noise! Why do I care if I don’t have mail.. I will know when it makes that LOUD noise… if I don’t have mail its a very very very easy assumption when it doesn’t make a LOUD noise…

Shortly after we got engaged so many of our friends have as well. I guess its the season of life… After we got married we have had 2 weddings we have been to. 1 we were in (our wonderful friends adam and sarah!) by the end of the year we will have gone to….. 6 weddings! 6! we are in 3! One wedding can be expensive.. try 3? hehe Jared and I are excited for our friends so don’t get me wrong.. I am not complaining just.. maybe a tad overwhelmed.. but like I said we are stoked for all of our friends! It will be weird when we have no more weddings to go to.. :-/ We will be asking.. “What do you want to do this weekend?” haha
