With all the hustle and bustle of wedding preparations in the midst of craziness, some of our closest friends have been overly generous with their time to help us.. Last week my friend Sarah came over and helped me pack up all my junk.. she helped me say NO to a lot of the “sentimental” items that will be forgotten and she helped me throw them away. After 10 medium boxes and 2 long days we almost have everything packed up. Jareds sweet sister and brother in law came over today to help us clean the house and fix a few things. They work around the clock and they were so so selfless to give up an icky Sunday afternoon where all you’d feel like is watching a movie on the couch with a blanket… and instead helped us. Sarah, Laura, and, Kay are coming up Thursday morning to help us decorate and set up the tents! I say all this because God has planted such loving people in our lives that would give up their time even when they are tired to help us make our wedding day a very special day! You only get married once! I am so thankful for them! I hope they know how blessed I feel to have them as friends and family. I can not wait to be able to help them out when they need it the most!

With all the hustle and bustle with the wedding only a week and a half away, our poor little “love Turtle” (Shoe.. yes thats his name… shoe… like you put on your feet) has been a bit neglected… Eryn gave me Shoe about 3 years ago. he was probably 2 inch’s around when we first got him, now he is a hefty little feller. supposedly Red Slider turtles grow to their enviroment. so we decided what better then let him go in the pond behind our new home! we have seen other turtles swimming around, and they look happy! It only took him 2 seconds to jump in the pond and swim off.. he didnt even look back:-(  Meanwhile Eryn and I did a little bit of work on the house, and while on the porch who did we see? yep it was Shoe! He was swimming real close to where we put him in… poking his little head out!

we wish Shoe the best! maybe he will meet a sexy lady turtle and make little sneakers!

It was hilarious!

Today, Jared, Clifton, and I met up to “talk over music” at bagel boys. Meanwhile, His guy friends got together to plan an attack. With Jareds back to the street, a mini van rushed up blearing metal music. All the guys had on panty hose over their heads which only added to the humor. Thomas (the driver) yelled “go get him” and a bunch of guys jumped out of the trunk threw a floral bed sheet over his head grabbed him and ran back into the mini van! It was priceless and perfect. They are off to go play paint ball and then grill out tonight.
